World’s Biggest Ferris Wheel in Las Vegas

August 13, 2011

According to Wikipedia:

Ferris wheel (also known as an observation wheel or big wheel) is a nonbuilding structure consisting of a rotating upright wheel with passenger cars (sometimes referred to as gondolas or capsules) attached to the rim in such a way that as the wheel turns, the cars are kept upright, usually by gravity.

I have read in Yahoo News that Las Vegas is at work right now on the World’s largest ferris wheel to connect hotels on center strip. It will link the Imperial Palace and Flamingo Vegas Resorts.  The construction will take 18months to complete. Soon, it will top the existing tallest ferris wheel found in Singapore, the Singapore Flyer. Definitely, this spot will  be included in my travel list. =)
